What is the English language requirement?
Thank you for your question. At the time of invitation, you must have at least competent English. To prove you have at minimum ‘competent English’, you must provide evidence that either:
• you are a citizen of and hold a valid passport issued by either the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, New Zealand or the Republic of Ireland, with your application, OR
• you have obtained the minimum required score in one of the recognised English tests, such as IELTS.

Is the Career Wise English ‘IELTS Express Course’ free for Australian Immigration Bulletin members? Or do I have to pay for the IELTS Express course? Thanks
Thank you for your question. The IELTS Express course is free for ACTIVE Australian Immigration Bulletin Members only. You must be a current Australian Immigration Bulletin Member to be eligible to receive and maintain FREE access.
Please note, IELTS Express is a comprehensive IELTS training platform that includes new monthly Mock Tests, quizzes and tips to prepare you for the IELTS exam. You will learn about how the exam works, how to achieve a band 7+, and get plenty of practice with examples, quizzes and unlimited IELTS General Mock tests.
Can I consider PTE instead of IELTS, and does this meet the English language assessment criteria for Australian immigration?
Thank you for your question. Yes PTE Academic is an acceptable English language test. Please note that you will require a score of at least 50 for each of the 4 components. For more information please refer to ‘Additional Resources’ in the member’s area under ‘English Level Requirement’.
